Your Wedding List at wrapit
Creating and managing a wedding list should be lots of fun - after all, how often do you get to choose a bunch of fabulous things that other people get to buy for you! But since it isn’t something that you do every day, it may seem a bit daunting. That’s why there’s wrapit.
To understand exactly how wrapit will work for you, please read through this quick summary of our service.


Register and/or Arrange a Consultation
To register, simply fill in the registration form on this site. Once you've registered, you will be allocated a Personal Consultant. You can then decide with her whether or not you would like to have a consultation.
Consultations are free and typically take between 2 and 4 hours. Your consultant will take you (and your other half) through each of the 80+ departments in the wrapit virtual department store and help you choose from more than 5,000 items on the site. If you don’t see exactly what you want there, you can look at brochures covering 10,000 products from more than 100 famous brands and designer items, including all the wedding list favourites.
Whether you choose to have a consultation or decide that you’d like to create your list entirely online, you will have access to wrapit’s Step by Step Guide to your wedding list. This contains some great tips on how to plan your wedding list and will guide you through every stage of the process.

Create your List
Whether you have a consultation or not, you will be able start creating your list as soon as you register. Simply browse through our departments (in the grey panel to the left) or use our search facility (click the button below) to find what you want. When you see something you like, be sure to click the view it button to see a zoom image and, where possible, other images relating to that item.
You can add items to your wrapit Clipboard™ so that you can see how they look together, and if you want a second opinion, you can email the item pages to your partner, friends and family. Of course, your wrapit Personal Consultant will never be more than a phonecall or email away to give you support and advice.

Tell your Guests
The best way to let your guests know where your list is held is to insert a discreet card in with the invitation. This will give them the wrapit website address and the password they need to buy you a gift, directly online. It also gives the telephone number to call, for those who don’t have internet access, and the address, for those who prefer to come into the showroom. Your Personal Consultant will arrange for you to have as many inserts as you need

Monitor the Purchases
Once your guests receive their invitations, they will start buying gifts. To do this, most will visit the website where they can see pictures of all the items you have chosen and read detailed descriptions of each. Those who prefer the telephone or a personal visit can be assured of talking to someone knowledgeable about the products and the list.
Gifts attract a small storage and delivery charge which varies according to the size of the article but is usually £2 or £4. Once your guests have chosen their gift, they can pay for it using a credit or debit card. They can also add a personal message to go with the gift.
Each time a purchase is made, you will receive an email telling you who bought what and including the personal message. This will help you to keep track of the progress of the list. In addition, you can go online at any time too see the whole picture. Because many people underestimate the size of the list when creating it, you may find that you need to add things to the list as you go along. With wrapit, this couldn’t be easier.

Closing Your List
Since guests will normally keep buying gifts right up to the wedding day (and sometimes after it) you probably won’t have time to close your list before your honeymoon (if you are going on one). That’s fine. When you’re back, simply call your Personal Consultant and tell her that you’re ready to close your list.
When you close your list you will be able to exchange gifts to make up sets (e.g. of crockery or glassware) or buy the additional items yourself. You can do this easily over the phone, but if you’d prefer to, you can make an appointment to do it in person. Once you are satisfied that you have everything that you want, the list is closed and the orders go out to the suppliers.
wrapit’s online Thank You Card Manager will be very useful at this point. It will give you a complete run-down of who bought you what, as well as their messages. It even shows you their contact details so that you have all of this information close to hand when sending out your Thank You Cards! Plus, you will be able to note which Thanks You Card have been sent, so that nobody is forgotten.

Waiting for Delivery
This is usually the hardest part! Because wedding lists usually contain china or glassware, it can take six to eight weeks for us to receive the full list and deliver it to you. During this time, your Personal Consultant will keep you advised of the progress of your list and help you choose a delivery date.
The gifts are not individually wrapped, but will come in large presentation boxes. Delivery is free within 100 miles of London.
